I noticed that the Wandering Rocks and Labyrinth are not here. Were they not intended for voting?

Since I host the contests, I don't put my own levels up for voting.
Also, when one person submits multiple levels for the server, they have to choose which one they want in competition.

I think you should put one of your levels up for voting -- it's a fair contest, after all. Unfortunately, if you insist on removing my two favorite levels from the running, I'll have to fall back on my nepotistic third choice.

You just got to go with the primitive art of Cyclops! That's what I'm voting for.

Well...there are a few reasons it could be less than fair...
I choose the themes. Sometimes my choice is influenced by an idea I already have or something I personally want to explore. I have more time to think and each month is tailored to my current interests. I also have more time to develop and polish my ideas.
I open and close the voting poll, decide how many maps people can select, and choose how many will make it through each round. Someone who didn't make it through to the final voting round could argue that with another 24 hours, they would've pulled into contention. Without my maps in the mix, I don't have any stake in who gets through.
I have full access to the contest server. I can update or modify my entries as much or often as I like.
Then there are the really unethical things I could, hypothetically, do with the administrative powers I have both over the server and the forums...if I was a sociopath.
I appreciate that people might like to vote for my entries, but everything seems simpler and more inclusive if I don't have a dog in the fight.

So are you saying that, if given the power, you would do evil things with it, or that people would
accuse you of doing evil things? Because, since this community is so small, everyone kinda knows you, so I don't think anyone would do that.

Well that's just the thing...people get emotionally invested without even meaning to. It's easy to lose perspective where feelings are involved, and I'd just assume avoid it ever being an issue.
You also don't have to be evil to benefit from an unfair advantage.
From the beginning, my motivation for running the contests has been to encourage the creation of new and inventive levels and to increase community involvement. Neither of those goals is aided by me taking a victory from someone else deserving.
