Distorted Party Rerun: Friday 9/5

For those who were unable to make it last week, or simply like playing Bitfighter, I will be hosting a Rerun of this party on Friday, September 5th at 8:00pm EDT. This event will feature many of the same levels from last week, polished and trimmed and reordered. What I learned:

• Short rounds make for awesome matches. No level will exceed 5 minutes (excluding two levels)
• Smile, Drex's Rabbit shrunk are surprisingly fun and playable. Be on the lookout for more shrunk levels
• Thank You Drive Thru distorted is a major brain trip. It won't be the only stock level attempting to confuzzle you
• Font, City CTF, Tangle Box are not worth replaying. Too large and/or boring, they will not make a reappearance
• If numbers are good (5v5), Twisting Halls is a seriously fun level worth a playthrough

IMO, this is how most Bitfighter maps should be. Awesome!

Working nights = pretty much no social life.

It's just the harsh truth of it. After working for four months at a Wal-Mart 10pm-7am I've really come to disrespect establishments for making people work nights unless they really have to. (Security, etc. I totally understand) I dunno.

Hah, no. The letters were rearranged actually, to fit in with the "distorted" theme. It was one of the joke maps along with Foo.

I'm open to suggestions for other times! Bumped up this event's time slot by request from NM as well as to accommodate folks who would like to play earlier. There are potentially other times to explore, such as Sunday afternoons and midweek (Tues/Thurs etc) nights, but I'm not sure those will be as successful with our small numbers.

Party starts in 1 HOUR!! Woooo get excited! I usually wait a few min for stragglers to arrive in case you don't see me on right at 8pm. But we should be rolling within a few minutes following 8pm!

Alright, so attendance wasn't outstanding. But then again there weren't really any posts explicitly labeling attendance so that's fair. However I do want to make sure these parties are accessible to everyone. I would like to start hosting parties again on a regular, weekly basis and would not want to exclude anyone by hosting at a crappy time!

So, please either post or PM me with your thoughts about the time/date and any suggestions for what would work optimally for you. I'm totally down for experimentation!

I usually start work at around 5/6pm PDT. Sometimes I get off early around 9/10pm PDT, other times I'm there until 1/2am PDT.
So I either have to catch a late party, or go to one early before work xD

Ugh yet another tournament i failed to find out about....
