Bitfighter 019e released!

We've released Bitfighter 019e. It is a minor bugfix release mainly to address editor bugs that have been found. The changelog is here:

Bug! The Windows 64-bit installer launched by Bitfighter 019d fails! The installer on the Downloads page works fine

Yes! I had some funky error saying that 64-bit wasn't supported by the installer

I tried the in-game updater and experienced two failures.

First, the installer did not quit out of the running version of Bitfighter. This is an annoying, but longstanding bug, and I propose we address it by asking users to quit manually.

Secondly, after the install appeared to work properly, I was launched back into 019d. This is a new problem and will require a closer look.

A third issue is it appears we are including bitfighter_debug.exe with the installer. I think we shouldn't.

And, I think, mystery solved. The bitfighter_debug looks like it is the new build (though I can't run it to confirm), and the copy of bitfighter.exe that we are shipping is the old one. See http://i.imgur.com/lds7f3r.png .

Actually, after rerunning the installer again, we may not be including a copy of bitfighter.exe after all; the one in my install folder may be the old copy, not a new copy of the old file.

Update!

Please re-download the win32 (Windows 32-bit) installer of Bitfighter if you have already installed it.

The old 019e build was accidentally compiled without optimizations and will run much slower on your machine. This should also fix the updater issue.
