New Game: Thursday, May 28th at 9:00 PM ET

Another awesome game on Thursday! Got even more numbers this week as we managed to rock up to 8v8 for multiple rounds. Seriously, for a game that's been around in some iteration or another for 15+ years and never had any major branding or marketing behind it, whipping up 8v8 is great to see.

Plus, lot of old faces making an appearance... Zemmer, Wat, Taz, ShadowX.longer (!?!?!?), Invisible, etc... great fun. Still hoping to zap ships with cloakdood, someone.n1nj4, _k, or drex if anyone's got their contact info.

I haven't spent much time in the Discord voice chat but I've heard it's a great time as well.

So let's keep this machine oiled up and moving, and play again this Thursday, May 28th at 9:00 PM Eastern! Appreciate bobdaduck hosting a bunch of sweet maps for us to play through on a relatively lag-free server.

Speaking of bobdaduck, make sure you enter ducky's level-making contest! The theme is 1-minute maps, so it should be a lot of frantic fun. I believe ducky is also hosting a contest party on Monday, June 1st at 8:00 PM Eastern, but I'll let him make a post for that.

By the way, after bobdaduck's contest party on June 1st, I'm thinking about switching our weekly game night to Sundays at 9 PM Eastern instead of Thursdays at 9 PM Eastern. I figure as more and more states open up, folks will start going back to work and weeknight evenings could become trickier to attend. On the other hand, weekends are often busy for many folks, so this could backfire.

Thoughts? Do you think it's a worthy switch, or should we just leave it as is, ie. "don't fix what ain't broken"?

thursdays works better for me but a few hours earlier would be better as it starts at a very incvonenet time for me due to life stuff a little ealrier would be great (maybe 5 EDT?)

sundays really isnt a option for me at all for other reasons

I vote Firday this time

Friday could be worth a try. I've been a bit reluctant about games on Friday or Saturday given they tend to be the most congested dates for recreational evening activities. Sunday evenings on the other hand tend to be a return to home and preparing for the upcoming week, so there's potentially more ability for folks to log on and play a few matches of Bitfighter.

Obviously everyone's schedule is different and we won't please everyone, but that's the rationale.
